This is a running bamboo, so we only recommend that it be planted in containers.  It is a beautiful plant for patios and entries with erect culms and large, broad leaves.  These canes were used in ancient Japan to fashion arrows.  In containers, it may reach apprxoimately 10' in height with 1" canes.
