Emerging shoots are green, then turn to mahagony and finally to a beautiful black color, providing a stunning contrast with the deep green leaves. Lako is somewhat cold sesitive so it looks best in summer or in protected areas in winter, a must for any bamboo collection! Grows 35-45' with up to 3" diameter culms.
